Manhattan: Madison Avenue - 100th Street

Madison Avenue, west side, from E. 100th (left of No.1) to 101st (right of No. 2) Streets, showing units of Mt. Sinai Hospital as viewed southward from 101st Street and a cross a clearance at the S.E. corner of same. The low building is the Dispensary and the other, the Training School for Nurses. Upon the clearance seen in the foreground stood a row of structures that bore No's. 1455 to 1465. These were reported for demolition in the N.Y. Times of April 26, 1938. Thru their sites ran the old Eastern Post Road, in a line with the photographers point of view in No. 1. September 14, 1938. Views 1 and 2 P.L. Sperr
