Manhattan: 5th Avenue - 78th Street

969 and 968-5 Fifth Ave., (right) at and adjoining the S.E. corner of East 78th Street. The corner building was demolished in 1925 and left the adjoining property, No. 968-5, the Jacob H. Schiff standing. These two parcels will be improved with an 18-story apartment house according to the New York Sun, September 29, 1937. Shown on the extreme left is No. 2 East 78th Street, a four-story building adjoining the corner. About 1920.
