Manhattan: Irving Place - 18th Street (East)

63-55 Irving Place, at, adjoining and south of the S.W. corner of East 18th Street, as seen across clearance at the S.E. corner (former site of Huyler's Chocolate Co. Building). The 6-store building is No. 63 and was an exchange of the N.Y. Telephone Co.; they having vacated the premises about 1936. The 20-story buildings shown, form the western side of this block and are the Guardian Life Insurance Co, of America Building and the Clarendon Building. They are located on the east side of Fourth Ave., at the N.E. corner of 17th and the S.E. corner of 18th Streets respectively. December 23, 1936. P. L. Sperr.
