Manhattan: Irving Place - 17th Street

Irving Place, west side, north from 17th Street. The stables at 57-9 Irving Place will later be made over into a garage. The six-story building on the S.W. corner of 18th Street was erected there around 1900, replacing two old four-story houses. 67-69 Irving Place in the next block, adjoining the N.W. corner of 18th Street, will be demolished a year after the time of this picture, and a twelve-story loft building will rise on the site.
